Lindsey Webster Taps Stokley For the Vibrant ‘Two Hearts’
From Lindsey's New Album Release “Music In Me.”
Lindsey Webster taps one of our favorites and hometown friend of UB, Stokley for the release of her new single “Two Hearts” via Shanachie.
The vibrant new single, puts you in the mood of a great early 80s tune.
Lindsey and Stokley‘s vocals mash together like a perfect melody.
Some artists possess an unrivaled ability to channel their authentic selves in their music.
The striking, earthy and amiable chart-topping vocalist, Lindsey Webster, exemplifies this talent.
Lindsey’s equanimous nature, enviable vocal range and ability to craft candid and deceptively simple universal themes into timeless anthems, have garnered her a devoted international fanbase.
Lindsey remarkably is the only other vocalist since Sade in 2010 to have had a #1 hit on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz charts. Lindsey’s sophisticated fusion of Neo-soul, R&B, Jazz and Pop, shines on her anticipated seventh recording, “Music In Me.”

The music was written, recorded, produced and mixed over a period of three years. Lindsey’s soulful, jazzy and hypnotic sound are deeply rooted in her musical partnership with long-time pianist Keith Slattery. They are joined on “Music In Me” by several Grammy-winning artists, including UB R&B favorites Stokley and Anthony Hamilton.
Stokley not only duets with Lindsey but plays drums and percussion throughout the album.
“Music In Me” also includes guest spots from Jazz/Hip-Hop trumpeter Keyon Harrold, guitarist Isaiah Sharkey, and rapper/composer Kev Choice.
Lindsey states, “Music is my best friend. It helps move our emotions. You feel differently after you listen. It’s real-time. I have relied on music my entire life and it has been an escape for as long as I can remember. It has saved my life.”
Raised in the creative haven of Woodstock, NY, Lindsey Webster turned away from medical school to make history in the music world.
